Electrical Systems Applications Engineer

Are you looking to work for a company that provides an innovative work environment, and where your voice is heard? We have an opportunity for an Electrical Systems Applications Engineer to work onsite in Auburn Hills, MI.

What You’ll Be Doing

This role will support controller hardware applications and vehicle systems integration activities across multiple vehicle programs. The engineer will work cross-functionally with engineering, software, controls, validation, and release teams to help support issue resolution, integration activities, and program execution.

The ideal candidate will have a background in automotive electrical systems, controls, or module integration and be comfortable working in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support controller hardware application and integration activities for vehicle programs
  • Assist with issue investigation, root cause tracking, and resolution coordination
  • Work with cross-functional teams including software, controls, validation, DREs, and suppliers
  • Support requirements tracking and program execution activities
  • Participate in system and interface reviews including DFMEA and validation reviews
  • Assist with electrical system integration activities including CAN communication and EE architecture coordination
  • Track open issues, action items, and engineering changes
  • Support documentation updates, lessons learned, and engineering reporting activities
  • Participate in vehicle integration and technical review meetings

What You’ll Need

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
  • 3–5 years of automotive engineering experience
  • Prior experience supporting vehicle electrical systems, modules, or controls integration activities
  • Familiarity with CAN communication systems and automotive electrical architecture
  • Experience working in a cross-functional engineering environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred

  • Exposure to controller modules such as ECM, TCM, BCM, or EV-related controllers
  • Experience supporting validation, testing, or issue resolution activities
  • Understanding of DFMEA, DRBFM, or automotive development processes
  • Experience working with suppliers and vehicle program teams
