VLI Conveyors are seeking a commercially astute and technically capable Internal Salesperson to join our high-performing Team in Welshpool.

Supporting mining, industrial, and bulk materials handling clients across Western Australia, this role is pivotal in delivering responsive, accurate, and solutions-focused sales support. You will be the central link between customers, external sales, engineering, and operations — ensuring every enquiry converts smoothly into a successful outcome.

The Opportunity

This is not a passive order-processing role. You will:

  • Manage inbound enquiries and prepare accurate technical quotations for conveyor components and systems.
  • Provide product and technical specification guidance to customers.
  • Support external Business Development Managers with following leads, quote follow-up, and project coordination.
  • Process and coordinate orders, ensuring pricing accuracy, margin control, and on-time delivery.
  • Liaise closely with engineering, purchasing, production, and dispatch to deliver seamless outcomes.
  • Contribute to achieving sales and margin targets within budget.
  • Maintain accurate CRM, pipeline reporting, forecasting, and sales data.
  • Assist with tender submissions and complex project documentation where required.
  • Uphold all WHS and quality management standards


What You Bring

  • Proven experience in internal sales, technical sales support, or customer-facing roles within mining, industrial, or bulk materials handling sectors.
  • A willingness to understand mechanical systems - especially conveyor components.
  • Strong commercial acumen with confidence managing pricing, margins, and pipeline forecasting.
  • Experience using ERP/CRM systems (SAP advantageous).
  • Confidence in building rapport and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • A proactive mindset and the drive to meet and exceed sales targets.
