Power BI Solutions Specialist (Fully Remote – Poland)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Solutions Specialist to join our Global MI/Data Analytics function as the go-to subject-matter expert for Power BI. This role goes beyond traditional BI development, operating at the intersection of business consulting, solution architecture, technical delivery, and quality assurance. The successful candidate will influence analytical solutions from early requirements discovery through design, developer enablement, and final validation, while also driving innovation across the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem.

This is a fully remote role based in Poland.

What You’ll Do

• Act as the primary Power BI subject-matter expert engaged from the earliest stages of projects.
• Lead requirements gathering to ensure analytical needs are fully understood prior to development.
• Evaluate client data landscapes and reporting maturity to recommend optimal Power BI architectures.
• Design data models, report structures, row-level security strategies, and licensing approaches.
• Produce detailed developer briefs including DAX standards, visual conventions, and performance expectations.
• Conduct solution briefings with BI developers at project kick-off.
• Provide ongoing technical mentorship and resolve complex Power BI challenges.
• Own the internal quality assurance gate for all Power BI deliverables prior to UAT.
• Continuously evaluate new Power BI, Fabric, and Power Platform capabilities.
• Lead adoption of AI-assisted analytics including Copilot, natural language Q&A, and advanced visuals.
• Serve as the senior Power BI contact for internal stakeholders and external clients throughout the lifecycle.

What You’ll Bring

Essential Requirements

• Expert-level Power BI proficiency including advanced DAX, complex data models, RLS, and performance optimization.
• Strong experience in BI requirements gathering and solution design.
• Proven experience performing QA or technical reviews of BI deliverables.
• Advanced working knowledge of Power Query (M), SSRS, and the Microsoft data stack.
• Experience mentoring and guiding BI developers.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Desirable Experience

• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and its integration with Power BI.
• Hands-on experience with Power Automate for BI workflows and alerting.
• Awareness or practical experience with AI capabilities within Power BI.
• Microsoft PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst) or equivalent certification.
