Electrical Engineering — AI Data Trainer

About The Role

We're looking for experienced electrical engineers to help train and improve cutting-edge AI models. Your deep technical knowledge will directly shape how AI reasons through complex engineering problems — from circuit analysis to signal processing to control systems.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You set your hours, work independently, and contribute to some of the most advanced AI research happening today.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Design Challenging Problems — Craft advanced electrical engineering problems across domains like circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, electromagnetics, and embedded systems to probe AI reasoning and expose its limits.
  • Author Gold-Standard Solutions — Write rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for AI learning and evaluation.
  • Audit Technical Accuracy — Review AI-generated circuit diagrams, mathematical proofs, and code for correctness, safety, and adherence to engineering standards (e.g., IEEE, NEC).
  • Sharpen AI Reasoning — Identify logical gaps and flawed reasoning in AI outputs, then provide structured, expert feedback to guide model improvement.

Who You Are

  • Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Strong foundational knowledge in one or more core domains: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, or signal processing
  • Able to communicate highly technical concepts clearly and precisely in written form
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented when working with equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation
  • No prior AI experience required — your engineering expertise is what matters

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with data annotation, technical writing, or evaluation systems
  • Familiarity with simulation tools (MATLAB, SPICE, etc.)
  • Background in standards compliance or engineering documentation

Why Join Us

  • Work on genuinely cutting-edge AI projects alongside world-leading research teams
  • Fully remote and asynchronous — work when and where it suits you
  • Freelance flexibility: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
  • Gain rare insight into how advanced large language models are built and trained
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
