Essential Position Responsibilities
Serves as initial contact for all driver applicants
Works with the team to handle all approved advertising efforts to include newspapers, flyers, national publications, local schools, job fairs, etc
Gives input and submits ideas for areas in which to advertise
Responsible for all recruiting calls
Interviews and screens candidates to determine if they are qualified
Performs all background investigations on all potential candidates
Responsible for all data entry and updates on all inquiries into Tenstreet Applicant Tracking Software
Communicate with team members on status of candidates
Maintain contact with applicant, make initial offer of employment, schedule for all pre-employment screenings and orientation
Works closely with current driver fleet on any referral inquiries
Communicate with candidates who are not qualified for employment
Assist in New Driver Orientation
Accurately Communicate All Applicable Company Practices, Policies, And Benefits
Administer the hiring process in compliance with:
o
Department of Transportation rules and regulations
o
FMCSA rules and regulations
o
EEOC and labor laws (as related to hiring, promotion or transfers)
Advises manager of any issues, concerns, or errors during the hiring process
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills And Abilities
Strong communication skills to include verbal, written, and interpersonal
Strong computer skills including Microsoft office, web based portals
