Senior Financial Analyst

Location: Baltimore, MD

The Opportunity

As a Senior Cost Accountant, you will analyze financial transactions, prepare journal entries to record inventory transactions and ensure revenue and expenses are correctly captured each month. In this role you will support the plants and work directly with the operations team to help solve complex transactions. This position will report to the Corporate Controller.

Qualifications

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business (Preferred)

· Experience: Minimum 3-5 years(manufacturing operations preferred)

· Unquestionable ethics and morals.

· High energy and resiliency to take on and work through challenging projects.

· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, and outside contacts.

· Ability to establish and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

· Utilizes NetSuite knowledge to optimize cost tracking and reporting.

· Prepares management and financial reporting/metrics and related analytics.

· Create automated reports for department leaders and decision makers

· Suggests continuous improvement opportunities with active participation of operations in the continuous improvement process.

· Reconcile revenue and COGS expense accounts from manufacturing to shipment and help produce the monthly financial package

· Month-End and General Ledger Support of inventory related accounts: Assist with month-end close procedures, including journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliations.

· Assist with Work Order analysis and monthly reporting

· Identify and drive process improvement initiatives to resolution

· Provides various business analyses relating to new business ventures or new product lines

· Prepares and makes recommendations based on financial analysis of the operations.

· Support Operations Managers with budget vs actual, analysis and prepare reports and KPIs to aid decision making.

Technical Skills:

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with systems (NetSuite a plus)

· Soft Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities; attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Work Location- In Office

· Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, present information to small or large groups, and collaborate across multiple levels of the organization.

· Perform other accounting-related tasks as assigned, including reporting and ERP system updates.

· Other projects as assigned

Relocation/Commute

Candidates must be able to reliably commute to or plan to relocate to Baltimore, MD 21230.

Pay Range: $85k-110k
