Investor Relations Manager - Berlin

Overview

We are partnering with a growing renewable energy investment fund focused on deploying capital across energy transition assets, including solar, onshore wind, battery storage, grid infrastructure, and wider clean energy platforms across Europe.

With a strong existing portfolio and increasing institutional demand for energy transition strategies, the firm is looking to appoint an Investor Relations Manager / Director to support its next stage of fundraising, LP engagement, and investor communications.

This role sits between investment, strategy, capital raising, and client relationship management, working closely with senior leadership and investment teams while acting as a key point of contact for institutional investors across Germany, DACH, and wider Europe.

Key Responsibilities

Investor Engagement & Relationship Management

• Act as a key point of contact for institutional investors, including pension funds, insurance companies, family offices, asset managers, and consultants
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective LPs
• Lead investor updates, fund performance discussions, and ongoing communication around strategy and portfolio development
• Support senior leadership in investor-facing meetings, roadshows, and fundraising conversations

Fundraising & Capital Raising

• Support end-to-end fundraising processes for renewable energy and infrastructure funds
• Assist with investor targeting, pipeline development, roadshow preparation, and capital raising strategy
• Help position new fund launches, co-investment opportunities, and separate account structures
• Coordinate responses to investor queries, DDQs, RFPs, and due diligence requests

Investor Communications & Reporting

• Oversee the preparation of quarterly reports, investor presentations, AGM materials, and fundraising decks
• Translate portfolio performance, investment strategy, and energy market developments into clear investor messaging
• Work closely with investment and finance teams to communicate value creation, asset performance, revenue drivers, and portfolio developments
• Ensure investor materials are accurate, professional, and aligned with the firm’s wider positioning

Market Intelligence & Positioning

• Monitor investor appetite across renewable energy, infrastructure, real assets, and energy transition strategies
• Track competitor fundraising activity and market positioning across Europe
• Help shape the firm’s fundraising narrative and wider equity story
• Provide insights on LP priorities, ESG expectations, and capital allocation trends

Internal Stakeholder Management

• Partner with investment, finance, legal, compliance, and ESG teams to ensure consistency across investor communications
• Support senior management with strategic communications and investor-facing activity
• Help improve internal processes around investor reporting, data rooms, fundraising materials, and relationship management

Ideal Background

• Experience in investor relations, fundraising, capital raising, or client coverage within private markets, infrastructure, renewable energy, real assets, asset management, or investment banking
• Strong understanding of institutional investors and LP relationship management
• Exposure to renewable energy, infrastructure, or energy transition strategies would be highly attractive
• Confident managing investor conversations and presenting complex investment themes clearly
• Strong written communication skills, with experience preparing presentations, DDQs, RFPs, or investor materials
• Fluent German and English
• Commercial, polished, and comfortable working closely with senior stakeholders
