Role Description
This is an ideal volunteer role for a Non-Executive Director(s) with a strong local connection to Highett or Bayside. We will appoint as many as 3 candidates to fill recent vacancies.
The Non Executive Director will provide strategic guidance and governance support to ensure the organization’s mission and objectives are met effectively. Tasks include attending monthly board meetings (every 2nd month online), quarterly committee meetings, contributing to policy and decision-making, supporting organizational oversight, and serving as an ambassador for the organization within the broader community (to attend & speak at Community Events).
Qualifications
- Strong governance, leadership, HR, marketing or sponsorship
- Strategic thinking and the ability to contribute to long-term organizational planning
- Experience with community engagement and collaboration, with the availability & willingness to attend & speak at Partner events
- Ideally one of the new Directors will have a strong HR background. Chair the People & Culture sub committee and provide experience in leadership development and coaching for Branch Management.
- Financial literacy and the ability to interpret financial statements & budgets
- A commitment to the organization’s mission and values, with a passion for community impact
Previous board or governance experience (e.g. AICD Company Directors Course) is ideal but not essential.
