Job Description:

The Mission

FinancialReports is building the global public equity data layer for the AI era — 48,000 public companies, 30 million filings, one structured, AI-ready feed. Hedge funds, asset managers, data vendors, and AI labs use our API to build the models that move capital.

We are small, profitable, and moving fast. Pipeline is the oxygen. We need someone who can generate it.

The Role

You are the tip of the spear. Every opportunity our AEs close starts with a conversation you booked. You will run outbound into quant funds, asset managers, data vendors, sell-side research, and AI labs. You will qualify inbound from our website, MCP server, and developer community. You will be the first human most of our future customers ever speak to.

You will not be handed a list and a sequence. You will build your own targeting, write your own copy, and iterate until something works. If you need a playbook spoon-fed to you, this is not the role.

You will work directly with the founders and the AE team. Flat structure. No SDR manager. No call scripts. No dialer theater.

What You Will Do

  • Run outbound into named accounts — email, LinkedIn, phone, whatever converts
  • Qualify inbound leads from our website, MCP server, and API signups
  • Book qualified meetings for the AE team — measured on meetings held, opportunities created, and pipeline sourced
  • Build and maintain target lists using Clay, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and whatever else you need
  • Write cold copy that does not sound like cold copy
  • Bring signal back from the market — what resonates, what does not, who is in-market

What We Look For

  • You have 1-2 years as an SDR/BDR at a B2B company. You know what a sequence looks like, you have dialed a phone, you have been hung up on, you kept going
  • You write well. Cold email is 80% writing. If your emails read like ChatGPT wrote them, candidates will delete them
  • You are genuinely curious about finance, data, and AI. You do not need to know what a 10-K is on day one — but you need to want to
  • You are self-directed. You will get goals, not instructions
  • You are coachable. You will get direct feedback — fast — and you need to metabolize it and move on

What We Do Not Care About

  • Where you live. Work from anywhere.
  • Whether you sold into finance before. You will learn.
  • Your degree. Show us the meetings you booked.

The Path Forward

This is an SDR role with a clear trajectory to AE. If you hit the bar, you will be carrying a bag within 12-18 months. We want builders who want to run their own book, not career SDRs.

If you are the kind of person who wants to SDR for five years, this is not the right fit.

Compensation

Base + uncapped commission on meetings and pipeline + meaningful equity. We negotiate case by case. Top performers do very well here.
