ABOUT CHARGAUX
Chargaux Technology builds operational intelligence software for automotive dealerships. We turn messy operational data into structured workflows, decisions, and automation that businesses can act on. We're an early-stage, fully funded software company working with real dealership data and partner integrations.
——
THE ROLE
We're hiring a full-stack product engineer comfortable working across product, data, backend systems, and frontend workflows. You'll build the software layer that ingests operational data, models business rules, powers user-facing workflows, and supports reliable multi-tenant production infrastructure.
You should enjoy ambiguity, care about correctness, and be comfortable turning real-world business logic into maintainable software.
——
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
• Building and improving full-stack product features for users
• Designing backend services for data ingestion, classification, processing, and reporting
• Building secure, tenant-aware workflows with strong data isolation and auditability
• Integrating with external systems, REST APIs, and legacy data formats
• Improving reliability, observability, testing, and deployment practices
• Helping shape technical decisions as the platform moves to scalable production
——
TECH STACK
React / TypeScript frontend, NestJS backend, PostgreSQL with multi-tenant schema design, Redis-backed async queue workers, and containerized infrastructure. We also work with REST and legacy XML integrations with DMS and partner systems.
You don't need to know every tool on day one, but you should be strong in TypeScript, backend systems, SQL, and practical product engineering.
——
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• 3+ years building production software
• Strong TypeScript and React experience
• Backend experience with NestJS, Express, Fastify, or similar
• Strong PostgreSQL skills including query design and debugging
• Experience with APIs and external integrations
• Comfort working with imperfect, real-world data
• Ability to work independently in an async environment
• Clear written communication and good technical judgment
——
NICE TO HAVE
• Multi-tenant SaaS or row-level security experience
• Queue/worker systems (e.g. BullMQ) or ETL/data quality work
• Security-conscious engineering in regulated or sensitive-data environments
• Automotive, dealership, insurance, or similar industry experience
• Experience building software for non-technical business users
——
THIS ROLE MAY BE A FIT IF YOU
• Like solving messy, real-world business problems
• Want high ownership in a small, focused engineering team
• Care about reliability, correctness, and maintainability
• Are comfortable joining a product before everything is fully defined
——
WHY JOIN
• Direct impact on systems in production with real customers
• Small team, high ownership, low bureaucracy
• Technical depth across product, data, integrations, and infrastructure
• Opportunity to shape engineering culture early
——
INTERVIEW PROCESS
• Intro call (30 minutes)
• Technical and product discussion (60 minutes)
• Final conversation, including references (30 minutes)
We keep the process practical and respectful of your time.
