Our client is a leading developer within the data center construction sector, delivering large-scale, hyperscale facilities across key markets in the United States. With a strong pipeline of mission critical projects throughout Texas, they are seeking a Vice President of Project Delivery to lead the execution of complex, turnkey developments across the state.

This is a senior leadership position focused on delivering high-value, MEP-intensive projects through to completion, with particular emphasis on commissioning, system integration, and final handover of hyperscale data centers.

The Opportunity

The Vice President of Project Delivery will oversee the successful execution of hyperscale data center builds across Texas, operating primarily from Dallas while travelling to active project sites as required. The role is heavily focused on the back end of the project lifecycle, ensuring world-class execution through construction completion, commissioning, and operational turnover.

This individual will bring deep expertise in turnkey project delivery within the mission critical / data center environment, with a strong command of MEP systems from design coordination through commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of hyperscale data center projects across Texas from construction through commissioning and final client handover
• Provide executive oversight of multiple active project sites, with regular travel required to ensure delivery consistency and performance
• Drive successful execution of complex, turnkey developments, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards
• Oversee site teams responsible for construction, MEP installation, commissioning, testing, and close-out activities
• Ensure seamless integration across design, construction, vendors, commissioning agents, and operations teams during the critical final project phases
• Lead commissioning strategy, including systems testing, integrated systems validation, and turnover readiness
• Serve as a senior escalation point for project delivery challenges, particularly within MEP-intensive and mission critical environments
• Implement and maintain robust delivery processes, reporting structures, and governance frameworks across all Texas-based projects
• Build and mentor high-performing teams across multiple sites, fostering a culture of accountability and delivery excellence
• Partner closely with internal development, engineering, and operations groups to ensure projects are ready for live operations at handover

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a senior leadership role delivering turnkey data center or mission critical construction projects
• Proven track record delivering hyperscale data center projects for developers, owners, EPCs, or top-tier general contractors
• Strong expertise in MEP systems construction, including design coordination, installation, commissioning, and project turnover
• Demonstrated success managing the final stages of the project lifecycle, with a focus on execution, commissioning, and handover
• Ability to oversee multiple concurrent projects across different locations, with a willingness to travel across Texas as required
• Deep understanding of mission critical infrastructure, including electrical systems, mechanical cooling, controls, and redundancy requirements
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to manage large teams and influence stakeholders across all phases of delivery
• Commercially aware, operationally driven, and comfortable working within high-growth, fast-paced environments

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is an experienced data center delivery executive who has successfully led large-scale hyperscale projects across Texas or similar markets. They will bring a hands-on, execution-focused mindset and will be particularly strong in MEP delivery, commissioning leadership, troubleshooting, and final project close-out.

This role is best suited to someone who thrives in the execution phase of complex developments and has a proven ability to bring major projects across the finish line.
