Job Title: Development Coordinator

Reports to: Director of Enrollment Management


Position Summary

Austin Montessori School is seeking a relationship-centered and mission-aligned Development Coordinator (DC) to join our school community. Reporting directly to the Director of Enrollment Management, the Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting fundraising and enhancing the school’s visibility within the Austin community. This role focuses on the Annual Fund campaign, event-based fundraising, community engagement, and communications.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Fundraising & Donor Relations

  • Annual Fund: Support the execution of the Annual Fund campaign from inception to completion, collaborating closely with the Parents’ Association (PA) and Community Engagement Coordinator (CEC) to reach participation and financial goals.
  • Annual Event Fundraiser: Support the execution of the Annual Auction event, collaborating closely with the Parents’ Association (PA) and Community Engagement Coordinator (CEC) to reach participation and financial goals. Work collaboratively with the committees planning and producing the entire event.
  • Data Management: Track donor participation and giving trends to provide regular reports and insights on campaign progress.
  • Annual Reporting: Compile and produce the school’s Annual Report to celebrate donor impact and financial health.


Events & Community Engagement

  • Collaborative Events: Partner with the Community Engagement Coordinator to lead fundraising and outreach for major school events, including the Annual Fund, Grandparents Day, First Fridays, Fall Festival, Alumni Voices, Auction Fundraiser, and other institutional initiatives.
  • 60th Anniversary: Serve as a coordinator for the school’s 60th Anniversary milestone, working in tandem with the Community Engagement Coordinator and the Parent Volunteer Committee.
  • Committee Participation: Serve as a member of the Parents' Association (PA) Committee to align development goals with parent participation.


Marketing & Communications

  • Digital Campaigns: Support email marketing and development-related digital campaigns.
  • Content Management: Maintain and update website content.


Qualifications

  • Experience: 2–4 years of experience in development, fundraising, or non-profit work (experience in independent schools or Montessori environments is a plus).
  • Technical Skills: Experience with donor management software (CRM) and email marketing platforms. Blackbaud experience is a plus.
  • Communication: Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • Interpersonal: A professional capable of building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Organization: Strong project management skills, particularly in event planning and timeline management.

Hours and Location

This is a full-time, exempt, 12-month, on-site position based at the Sunset Trail campus, with evening and weekend responsibilities.


Compensation & Benefits

Austin Montessori School offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, a comprehensive benefits package, professional development opportunities, and tuition discounts for employees’ children. Salary Range: $50,000 - 60,000
