Financial Analyst

We have an exciting long-term contract opportunity for a Financial Analyst with a state agency here in Austin. This role will use multiple tools and data sources in the financial analysis and forecasting of the IT Project Portfolio

Responsibilities:

• Review project demands and resource allocation plans for managed service providers as well as internal staff.
• Prepare funds transfers and monitor federal funding reimbursements for eligible IT purchases.
• Review IT purchase requests and monitor the daily activity related to operating and capital expenses.
• Participate in the monthly reconciliation of the IT budget, encumbrances, and expenses.

Minimum Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build, etc.
• 5+ years of experience analyzing Financial Management Systems / Processes
• 5+ years of experience with budgeting methods and procedures
• 5+ years of experience communicating and maintaining effective working relationships with others
• 5+ years of experience preparing and maintaining confidential and sensitive records, files, and reports
