We are seeking a Trade Support Analyst to join our team in Madrid. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of trade positions and maintaining high-quality trade data, enabling timely and accurate execution across the Iberia region.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills, a results-driven mindset, and a data-oriented approach to decision-making. They bring a customer-focused attitude, excellent planning and organizational abilities, and thrive as a collaborative team player. Proactive and able to take initiative, they perform effectively under pressure and excel at building strong, lasting relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure high-quality and accurate trade data entry
- Input data in the system in line with trade recaps and trading files so traders can check and approve
- Create back-to-back physical trades as washout contracts to meet transfer pricing requirements
- Liaise with traders to resolve clarifications, amendments, and calculation discrepancies
- Act as the final validation checkpoint for all physical contracts prior to execution.
- Monitor, control, and report positions by commodity and region, covering both physical and washout trades
- Reconcile trading positions with GAI and maintain a shared reference framework.
- Lead washout proposals, confirmations, and execution with GAI in alignment with physical deliveries
- Provide end-of-month open contract balance reports to traders and execute rollovers or closures based on their confirmation
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and automation of processes, reporting, and control tools
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, supply chain or equivalent
- 1+ years of relevant experience in administration, distribution operations in commodities / wholesale, preferably in Europe region
- Understanding of import and distribution operations
- Experience with contract administration
- Experience working in an international environment
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Fluent in Spanish, both written and spoken
