Your Role as a Leasing Consultant
As a Leasing Consultant, you will play a critical role in converting prospective residents into satisfied community members. This role focuses on executing leasing strategies, delivering an engaging customer experience, and contributing to occupancy and revenue goals.
You will represent the community with professionalism and enthusiasm, creating a positive first impression while guiding prospects through the leasing journey and supporting ongoing resident relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and engage prospective residents, providing personalized tours that highlight the value and features of the community
- Guide prospects through the application and leasing process, effectively addressing questions and overcoming objections
- Support leasing performance by contributing to occupancy goals, conversion efforts, and overall community success
- Respond to prospect inquiries across multiple channels, including phone, email, and digital platforms, in a timely and professional manner
- Deliver a high level of customer service to both prospective and current residents, supporting satisfaction and retention
- Support marketing and outreach efforts, including online presence, reputation management, and community events
- Maintain detailed knowledge of the community, amenities, and surrounding market to effectively position the property
- Prepare lease documentation, process applications, and maintain accurate and complete records
- Assist with resident move-ins, onboarding, and communication to ensure a seamless experience
- Collaborate with on-site management and team members to support a high-performing leasing environment
- High school diploma or GED required; equivalent experience may be considered
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in leasing, sales, customer service, or a professional office environment
- Experience in multifamily leasing, sales, or hospitality preferred
- Class A or luxury multifamily experience a plus
- Flexibility to work some evenings; must be able to work weekends
- A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle is required for this role for purpose of routine outreach marketing and shopping comps; mileage reimbursement will be provided at IRS current rate
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the role, including frequent lifting of 10 to 25 pounds and occasional lifting up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Strong sales aptitude with the ability to influence decisions and achieve performance goals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer-focused mindset with a strong service orientation
- Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi property management software preferred
- Positive attitude with a passion for helping people find their next home
- CALP designation preferred
