FullStack Software Engineer

We are looking for a Fullstack engineer (backend-oriented) to join the IVIX team and help build and maintain data-intensive web applications across a polyglot monorepo (React/TypeScript frontend, Python/FastAPI and NestJS backends, and a MongoDB/Elasticsearch/Neo4j data layer), deployed both on-premises and as a SaaS offering on Kubernetes.

IVIX is the first AI-powered solution designed specifically to address a $20 trillion problem: illuminating the global shadow economy. IVIX leverages Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) and highly advanced, cutting-edge technologies to reveal illicit business activity around the world, empowering governments in their mission to fight financial crime and close the tax gap.

IVIX employs a variety of AI tools (deep neural networks, large language models, and predictive modeling) as well as advanced data analytics to rapidly pinpoint large-scale illicit business activity, so government authorities can combat financial crime in the digital age.

Led by security, tech, tax and financial crime experts, and advised by a diverse team of former IRS commissioners, IVIX works with dozens of state and federal governments globally.

• End-to-end development of features and systems used daily by key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
• Evolve our engineering and architecture to support the ever-growing scale of users, features, and data.
• Work closely with Product & Design, while having full ownership of features from, planning and technical design to post-deployment
• Implement solutions to complex problems in large amounts of data and scale.
• Write and maintain tests across the stack
• Contribute to shared libraries and infrastructure

Tech Stack

• Frontend: React, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS, TanStack Query
• Backend: Python (FastAPI), Node.js (NestJS), MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, Neo4j, Kafka
• Data Orchestration: Apache Airflow
• Infra: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, GitHub Actions, on-prem + SaaS deployment
• At least 5 years of experience as a Backend Developer or similar role.
• Deep knowledge of React, Node.js, and TypeScript
• 3+ years with Python backend development (FastAPI or similar async frameworks)
• Solid understanding of SQL, MongoDB and data modeling
• Experience with REST API design
• BSc. in CS, engineering, or equivalent - an advantage
• Self-learner, can-do solid attitude, and excellent interpersonal skills
• Experience in high-scale systems
