Are you a hands-on Finance Controller who enjoys working close to the business while ensuring financial accuracy and driving improvements? About the role:

As Financial Controller for Sweden, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the Swedish operations. You will take ownership of financial processes and act as a senior point of contact between the Swedish team, Financial Control Northern Europe, and our Shared Service Center in India, driving structure, quality, and continuous improvement across the finance function.

The role combines controlling, operations, and reporting, and offers broad exposure both locally and internationally. You will work closely with management, Group Finance, and local business units, providing financial insights and actively supporting decision-making at both local and Group level.

The organization is currently undergoing change, offering you the opportunity to take a hands-on role in shaping and improving financial processes and building an efficient finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and lead the month-end close process
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, tax regulations, and statutory requirements
  • Oversee the General Ledger and support AR/AP processes
  • Coordinate annual audits and act as key contact for external auditors
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to management and support strategic decision-making
  • Drive improvements in financial processes and systems
  • Act as the key point of contact between Sweden, Group Finance, and the Shared Service Center
  • Handle ad hoc financial queries and analysis

Who Are We Looking For

Must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience (audit, accounting, or financial controlling)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g. Oracle)
  • Fluency in English
  • Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of end-to-end financial processes

Nice to have:

  • Experience working in an international organization
  • Experience collaborating with Shared Service Centers
  • Experience in process improvements or system implementations

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to work independently in a senior role
  • Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
