Key Account Manager – Hospitals & Acute Care - Melbourne


This innovative & growing pharmaceutical organisation is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to join the team in Victoria. This role blends strategic account management with clinical education, working closely with specialist healthcare professionals in acute and complex care settings.


The Role

You will manage key hospital accounts across Victoria & Tasmania, delivering high-impact education and driving uptake across priority brands.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key hospital-based stakeholders and influencers
  • Deliver high-quality clinical education and in‑services (face-to-face and virtual)
  • Plan and execute a structured call cycle and education calendar across allocated accounts
  • Drive growth across a core product portfolio while supporting hospital pharmacy engagement and tender compliance
  • Collaborate with internal teams on account strategies, insights and opportunities
  • Identify and support customer-led educational initiatives and events
  • Accurately record activity, insights and opportunities within CRM systems
  • Represent the organisation at relevant meetings, conferences and professional events


About You

  • Proven experience in hospital sales, key account management or specialist pharmaceutical roles
  • Strong understanding of the hospital environment, ideally within acute care or specialty medicine
  • Confident communicator with the ability to educate, influence and build credibility with clinical audiences
  • Highly organised, self-directed and strategic in your approach
  • Comfortable working autonomously across a metropolitan and broader VIC/TAS territory
