Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Group Financial Controller to lead our accounting function and support the continued growth of our organization. This role is critical to ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, and providing timely, accurate insights to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical IFRS expertise, a proactive mindset, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. The Group Financial Controller will report and will work closely with the CFO and collaborate with the accounting team in Mexico to ensure alignment, consistency, and efficiency across all entities
Responsibilities
- Responsible for sorting and organizing expenses as necessary, including all the backup required for the annual audit.
- Responsible for ensuring that AP and AR invoices reflect the correct taxes in accordance with the relevant jurisdiction (i.e. GST, PST, HST, etc.).
- Responsible for preparing invoices for the operational projects.
- Responsible for ensuring that project revenues, CAPEX and OPEX is allocated to the correct project and cost line in Netsuite. If in doubt, inquire with team members or CFO for specific guidance on where to allocate a cost.
- Responsible for entering all accounting transactions into NetSuite.
- Responsible for reconciling bank accounts and credit card statements for all current and new bank accounts.
- Responsible for tracking accounts payable, accrued liabilities, etc.
- Responsible for preparing the first draft of quarterly or semi-annual consolidated financial statements, including the preparation of notes and the Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A).First complete draft package needs to be ready at least one week prior to the audit committee meeting.

- Responsible for the preparation of working papers and supporting schedules required for quarterly or semi-annual and annual financial statements.
- Responsible for verifying that the Mexican accounting records and working papers requested are complete and delivered on time for consolidation.
- Assist with the preparation of technical accounting memoranda to support accounting conclusions under IFRS.
- Responsible for preparing the semi-monthly payroll while the Company implements a new payroll system.
- Responsible for filing and paying the monthly payroll taxes.
- Responsible for preparing the annual T4 summary and T4 slips
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 5 - 7 years of related experience
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- IFRS knowledge, CPA preferred
- Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills
- Strong use of NetSuite
- Experience with multi-entity and multi-currency environments, Strong consolidations
Compensation:
110-130K depending on experience, 3 weeks vacation, extended benefits
