Share in our passion! We service and aim to create strong partnerships with elementary, secondary and post-secondary schools and institutions from our head offices and lab based in Burnaby, B.C.

We are currently looking for an Account Manager to join our team. This is an exciting role, based in the Lower Mainland, that will require resiliency and flexibility. This role will report directly to our Client Partnership Manager.

Our compensation package includes a base salary, PLUS a performance-based commission structure.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and facilitate the execution of photography events including quality of photography and customer experience.
  • Customers include administrators, staff, students and families.
  • Assist with the scheduling of photographers and event staff to ensure proper coverage and smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with Director of Client Partnerships and Territory Managers to align on processes, improve performance, and maximize resources.
  • Help prepare for events, including location scouting, and briefing the team on event-specific details.
  • Travel as required to various event locations, ensuring the team and event are well‐supported.
  • Address any on‐site issues promptly, including scheduling conflicts, or customer concerns, to maintain a positive event atmosphere.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, renew your existing business and sell the MWS brand, products and services.
  • Grow the MWS business in line with company vision and goals;
  • Establish plans and strategies in partnership with your sales manager to expand the customer base in your territory.
  • Keep and maintain accurate and detailed records on each account and prospect assigned within our CRM database
  • Handle school inquiries (photo dates, program information, school services, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of account management
  • College diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience with photography is considered an asset but not required.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to schools in both urban and remote locations in all weather conditions and seasons is required.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be comfortable and confident engaging with school administrators.
  • Skilled in problem-solving and negotiation skills, both internally and externally
  • Previous experience working or volunteering with primary/intermediate and high school students is an asset (eg: dance teacher, sports coach, camp counsellor, etc...)
  • This position involves working with children in a school setting, therefore, successful applicants must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.
