We are currently seeking an experienced and committed Transport Safety Supervisor to join our growing team in Abbotsford, BC.
Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Safety, Compliance & Maintenance, the Safety Supervisor is responsible for driving safety performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting safe day-to-day operations across drivers and Owner Operators. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance with provincial, federal, and cross-border regulations, while proactively identifying risks and implementing corrective actions.

- Monitor and enforce compliance with Hours of Service (HOS), DOT, and provincial regulations, including ELD tracking
- Manage CVOR events and compliance monitoring, including driver performance and safety metrics
- Investigate and follow up on violations, tickets, accidents, injuries, and claims, ensuring proper documentation and resolution
- Conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis, implementing corrective and preventative actions
- Perform ride-a longs (driver evaluations) to assess safety practices and provide coaching
- Ensure all employees operate in accordance with corporate safety policies and procedures
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and site reviews, providing detailed reports and recommendations
- Maintain accurate driver safety files, training records, and compliance documentation
- Ensure vehicles meet all inspection, maintenance, and regulatory requirements, including audit readiness
- Support and verify driver road tests, pre-trip, and post-trip inspections
- Minimum 3+ years of transportation industry experience is required
- Minimum 3+ years in safety and compliance
- Strong knowledge of HOS, DOT, and provincial safety regulations
- Experience with ELD systems and compliance monitoring tools
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to coach, influence, and hold drivers accountable to safety standards
- High attention to detail with strong documentation and reporting skills
- Class 1 license is considered an asset
