The Role


The Operations Director is accountable for safe, efficient, high-quality production that meets customer demand while achieving cost, people, and strategic objectives.


You will lead the end-to-end operations to drive rapid growth and international expansion, ensuring high customer standards across safety, production, inventory, fulfilment, quality, compliance, data, procurement, logistics, and risk.


Key Responsibilities


  • Champion safety, compliance, audits, and regulatory standards
  • Lead, develop, and inspire high-performing operational teams
  • Oversee demand planning, inventory control, and stock accuracy
  • Ensure efficient customer fulfilment, SLAs, and logistics performance
  • Maintain quality systems and support international expansion readiness
  • Drive productivity, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead procurement strategy, supplier management, and margin optimisation
  • Manage risk, reporting, governance, and site relocation activities


You'll have:


  • Extensive operations leadership in manufacturing or regulated sectors.
  • Proven ability to scale teams and improve productivity.
  • Experience with international compliance and operational launch requirements.
  • Background in driving H&S culture and continuous improvement.
  • ERP/WMS systems, demand planning and inventory management.
  • Understanding of fragrance, FMCG, cosmetics or regulated manufacturing (advantageous)
  • Site relocation or major operational change experience preferred.
