As a Graduate Electronics Engineer, you’ll work alongside experienced Mechanical, Software, and Embedded Engineers to design, test, and develop the electronics that power our robots. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience across the full product lifecycle — from concept and prototyping through to testing and deployment.
You’ll be part of a fast-moving, collaborative environment where you’ll learn quickly, take ownership of meaningful projects, and contribute directly to innovative robotics technology.
Please note: This role will require 5 days per week onsite in Wallingford.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the design and development of electronic systems, sensor interfaces, and controller boards
- Assisting with PCB design, prototyping, testing, and board bring-up
- Working with embedded systems and microcontrollers (STM32 preferred)
- Helping develop and run hardware and system integration tests
- Debugging hardware issues using standard lab equipment
- Collaborating with software, mechanical, and integration teams on robotics projects
- Evaluating components and contributing ideas for improving performance and reliability
- Supporting prototype builds, demos, and testing activities
- A degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field
- Strong understanding of electronic fundamentals and embedded systems
- Exposure to PCB design tools such as Altium, KiCad, or similar
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as SPI, CAN, UART, or Ethernet
- An interest in robotics, automation, or autonomous systems
- Practical hands-on engineering skills and a willingness to learn
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- STM32 or other 32-bit microcontrollers
- C/C++ embedded programming
- Soldering and electronics prototyping
- Robotics or industrial systems projects
- Power electronics or motor control systems
- Work on exciting real-world robotics technology
- Learn from experienced multidisciplinary engineers
