Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure across platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep
- Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability, and proactively address issues
- Collaborate with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines and application deployments
- Ensure security best practices are followed, including identity management, encryption, and compliance standards
- Optimize cloud costs through monitoring, right-sizing, and resource management
- Automate operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues in cloud environments
- Maintain documentation for architecture, processes, and configurations
- Support disaster recovery planning, backups, and business continuity initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Strong understanding of networking concepts including VNets, DNS, and load balancing
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Bicep or CloudFormation
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Terraform, GitHub Actions, or Azure Dev Ops
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker
- Understanding of cloud security principles and best practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Cloud certifications such AZ-104: Azure Administrator greater
- Experience with serverless architectures and services (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions)
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure App Insights or Grafana
- Familiarity with cost management and optimization tools
- Understanding of compliance frameworks like SOC 2
- Experience with database services (e.g., PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, Snowflake)
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and collaborative development practices
