The Opportunity


BOYAC is seeking a commercially minded and relationship-driven Business Development Manager to support the continued growth of the business across Sydney and the broader NSW market.

This role is ideally suited to someone who understands the architecture and interiors industry, enjoys building trusted long-term relationships, and has a genuine appreciation for design, textiles and craftsmanship.

Working closely with leadership and the wider team, the Business Development Manager will focus on cultivating relationships across architecture and interior design practices, identifying project opportunities, supporting specification activity, and strengthening BOYAC’s presence within the design community.

This is not a transactional sales role. Success in this position will come from thoughtful relationship management, consistent market engagement, strong commercial awareness and a high standard of client service.


Key Responsibilities


● Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, decorators and specifiers across the NSW market

● Grow specification opportunities across premium residential, hospitality and commercial projects

● Conduct regular client meetings, showroom presentations and product introductions

● Provide consultative support to clients, assisting with textile selection, application and project suitability

● Identify and develop new business opportunities aligned with BOYAC’s growth strategy

● Maintain consistent pipeline activity and CRM (Hubspot) management

● Collaborate closely with the showroom and leadership teams to ensure a seamless client experience

● Attend industry events, networking functions and trade-related activations to strengthen market presence

● Provide regular reporting and market feedback to leadership


About You


● Previous experience within interiors, textiles, architectural products, furniture, luxury goods or related specification industries

● Strong relationship-building capability with both creative and commercial stakeholders

● Professional, personable and highly service-oriented

● Commercially aware with the ability to balance relationship development and business outcomes

● Organised, proactive and confident managing multiple client relationships and projects simultaneously

● Strong written and verbal communication skills

● Comfortable working autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment

● Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office platforms

● Genuine passion for interiors, architecture, craftsmanship and design culture

● Willingness to travel locally for meetings, presentations and events
