Regulatory Compliance Analyst

- Examine petitions, case files, and supporting documents submitted by schools seeking certification
- Conduct through evaluations of schools to determine whether they meet requirements outlined in 8 CFR 214.3 and other relevant federal regulations
- Identify areas of concern, or non-conformance including discrepancies, missing information in school submissions, and make well-supported recommendations for adjudication, including approval, denial, or requests for additional information or corrective actions
- Communicate with school officials to request clarification or additional documentation as needed
- Clearly document and verbally articulate findings and rationale for recommendations, and case notes to support consistent and transparent decision-making in the adjudication process
- Work closely with other analysts, adjudicators, and management to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures
- File, upload, and tag incoming documentation as needed. In coordination with government leads, follow all procedures, and file all submissions in a timely manner
- Keep, organize, handle, store, retrieve, and destruct records for the organization in adherence to internal policies and external requirements of agency and National Archives and Records Administration (NARA)
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of related professional work experience is required
- Experience with assuming full ownership of assignments and the ability to complete assigned tasks with limited guidance
- Ability to assume leadership responsibility over projects and/or specified tasks
- Experience with analyzing case documentation and identifying key issues to support accurate and consistent adjudication determinations
- Ability to evaluate and apply complex regulatory frameworks to multifaceted cases, including those presenting unique or challenging circumstances, while maintaining strict adherence to quality standards and compliance
- Ability to effectively analyze case documentation and identify key issues to support accurate and consistent adjudication decisions
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage workload to ensure timely completion of assignments and consistently meet client deadlines
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and case management systems, at intermediate or advanced level
- Ability to manage multiple cases by navigating and managing electronic records and case management systems
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders to communicate information and recommendations clearly and effectively
- Demonstrated high level of personal and professional integrity in handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion, impartiality, and respect
- Experience in compliance, regulatory analysis, case management, or related work is preferred
- Knowledge or experience with federal school regulations, policies, SEVIS, and/or adjudication processes, highly desirable
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Vienna, VA- HYBRID, 3 days on site
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance (Public Trust)
- This role supports a government agency which requires U.S. citizenship
