We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager, to lead our European operations team, based at our Raunheim site in Germany.
The role:
As Operations Manager, you will report to the Group Operations Director, you will be responsible for the operational performance at our European headquarters including assembly, logistics, stock management & quality and site lead for Health, Safety & Environment.
Key duties:
- Leading, motivating and developing the team to ensure effective and efficient operation.
- Accountability for all aspects of the Raunheim performance, ensuring all products are assembled to right first-time standards and meet customer demand.
- Working with the global operations teams, developing and implementing the operations strategy.
- Implementing improvement programmes, ensuring that profitable partnerships are built and maintained.
- Proactively collaborate with the UK supply chain team
- Monitoring performance through KPI’s and assisting in setting financial and budgetary targets.
- Leading all teams to deliver the strategic plan and business goals, creating a professional and positive working environment and culture.
- Monitoring and reviewing customer satisfaction and implementing strategies to improve or remedy areas of concern.
- Contributing to the development of a Group wide ERP system.
- Ensuring that the European business meets all statutory regulatory responsibilities.
- Driving cost improvements across of operations teams, instilling an efficient mind set and approach.
- Monitoring and approving capital spend when required
What are we looking for?
To be considered for this Operations Manager, you will have the following:
Essential skills
- Degree qualified, preferably in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- Solid experience of leading Operational Excellence
- Excellent leadership skills
- Very good understanding of manufacturing operations, especially assembly, logistics and after sales care.
- Project management
- Financial management and controls
- Experience of working with ERP systems
- Experience of working across multiple countries
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent or native German speaker
- Conversational English language skills
- Self-driven and results orientated
