This travel assignment supports an inpatient imaging service within a health system.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality ultrasound exams with emphasis on echocardiography and vascular studies
• Conduct studies including TTE, TEE, stress echo, venous reflux exams, venous Doppler, carotid Doppler, arterial Doppler, and ABI; assist with related procedures (pericardiocentesis, thrombin injections) as applicable
• Image optimization, patient preparation, and documentation in MediTech EMR
• Manage workload during high-volume periods, communicate pending exams to colleagues, and assist other technologists as needed
• Maintain equipment and supplies, ensure cleanliness and disinfection between patients, and follow department policies
• Respond to on-call or call-back per policy, arriving within 30 minutes when requested
• Maintain professional relationships with patients, physicians, and interdepartmental staff; participate in required in-services

Requirements

• Active ARDMS certification
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification
• 2+ years of ultrasound experience with Echo and vascular capabilities
• Proficiency in echocardiography with Definity contrast and comprehensive vascular studies (including TTE, TEE, stress echo, venous and arterial assessments, carotid, ABI)
• MediTech EMR experience
• Ability to start IV
• Two supervisory references submitted within the last two years
• Geographic eligibility: The assignment requires applicants to reside outside 90 miles of Batesville; applicants between 90 and 150 miles may be reviewed but might not be selected
