This position is open to candidates currently living in Montevideo or Buenos Aires (CABA).
What are the main responsibilities of this role?
- Develop high-quality code, which is well-designed and testable, supported by more experienced developers.
- Active participation and collaboration with the team to achieve the project goals. For example, by actively participating in instances of the project like planning and review calls, maintenance of artifacts used in the project, etc.
- Write meaningful code reviews.
- Execute the right level of documentation for the project, for example, readme, API documentation.
- Collaborate with internal initiatives.
- +1 year of experience in the IT field.
- Software experience from degree studies.
- Experience with Node.js to build RESTful APIs, preferably using frameworks such as Express or NestJS.
- Understanding of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Basic knowledge of SQL queries, data modeling concepts, and asynchronous programming (Promises, async/await).
- Intermediate knowledge of design patterns and most used architectures.
- Experience with Git and version control workflows.
- Intermediate to advanced English skills.
- Ability to communicate with different stakeholders: team, client, managers.
- Experience working in Agile environments using methodologies such as Scrum, including estimation techniques, collaborating on user story writing, and defining acceptance criteria.
- Experience with AI development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot,Codex or Claude.
