Our client, one of the state’s most respected boutique commercial construction entities, is offering this exciting senior leadership role inside a business that has built a strong reputation through consistent delivery, solid financial performance and trusted client relationships with Tier 1’s. That foundation is now in place, and the next phase is about scaling it properly.

You are not walking into a turnaround, the business is performing. The opportunity now is to bring greater structure, consistency and leadership across the division that already has capability but now needs to operate at a higher level as it grows.

You will carry full accountability for the division - the numbers, the people, the pipeline and the standard of delivery. This is about setting the tone, implementing consistent ways of working and ensuring every project is delivered with discipline around margin, programme and quality. It is as much about building the system as it is about leading the people.

The role requires someone comfortable in the detail, but equally capable of thinking commercially. You will contribute to tenders, programmes and client relationships, while mentoring Project Managers and site teams to lift overall capability. Over time, success will be measured by how well the division performs without reliance on individuals. There is an existing client base and repeat programme work, but growth will not happen by default. You will play a role in strengthening the pipeline, positioning the business in the market and building long-term relationships.

This will suit someone who has operated in a structured construction or fitout environment and is ready to take full ownership of a division, or someone in a larger business who wants the ability to genuinely shape how things are done.

Ideal candidates will bring a strong track record in the broader commercial construction sector, combined with the leadership maturity to build and lead a high-performing team. You will be commercially aware, structured and hyper-organised in your approach and capable of driving accountability, while remaining grounded and respected by those delivering the work.
