Export Compliance Officer

Overview

We are looking for an Export Compliance Officer for the Corporate division of OHB

SE at the Bremen location as soon as possible; Legal Affairs; Compliance.

Team constellation: 10 people in the Legal & Compliance team currently, in the Compliance Team there is also a stream export control and there are 3 other people and two of them are material classifiers.

Tasks

• Carrying out the necessary export control activities nationally (submitting and processing preliminary enquiries, individual licence applications, collective export licence applications) and internationally.
• Identify training needs, participate in export control training.
• Responsible for the implementation of legal and internal export control requirements in the OHB Group.
• Analysis of the processes at OHB with regard to export control requirements (national, international), as well as the introduction of specifications into the processes with the local process owners.
• Creation and maintenance of procedural instructions and manuals.
• Export classification of goods and documents in accordance with DE/EU/US directives in cooperation with the specialist departments.
• Creation of End User Documents.
• Determination of appropriate requirements for the project and specialist departments, review of contracts with regard to export control issues in cooperation with the contract department.
• Examination under foreign trade law of the licensing requirement for technology transfer, exports, transfers of goods and services in accordance with the applicable legal provisions for foreign trade.

Working language: in the team German, should also be fluent in English

Must Have’s

• some experience in the field of understanding the subject matter.
• a team-oriented player.
• EU law and German business law are important as knowledge.

Qualification

• Completed studies in the field of engineering.
• Several years of experience in the field of export control.
• Experience in US export control.
• High communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Proactively identify and manage export control risks.
• Ability to transform regulations and policies into practical operational processes and solutions.
• Experience in the analysis of existing processes, as well as the development of optimization measures.
