Voice Actor — Australian English (AI Speech Recording)

About The Role

What if your voice could directly shape how AI understands and connects with millions of Australian speakers? We're looking for professional voice actors and voice-over artists with authentic Australian English accents to take part in paid studio recording sessions for a leading AI speech research project.

This is a contract role for experienced voice talent based in Australia. Your recordings will help AI systems better understand natural human speech — making technology more intuitive and human for everyone who uses it.

  • Session Format: In-person professional studio recording
  • Session Length: 4 hours per session (2–3 sessions total)

Important: This project does not involve voice cloning.

What You'll Do

  • Record natural, conversational Australian English speech in a professional studio environment
  • Participate in single-speaker sessions and dual-speaker dialogue-based conversations
  • Deliver realistic, unscripted-sounding performances across a range of tones and contexts
  • Follow light direction to vary pacing, tone, and delivery as needed
  • Bring authenticity and professionalism to every session

Who You Are

  • A professional voice actor or voice-over artist with hands-on recording experience
  • A native or near-native Australian English speaker — your accent is genuine and consistent
  • Currently based in Australia
  • Comfortable performing natural dialogue that sounds spontaneous and human
  • Reliable, professional, and receptive to direction
  • Fluent in English at a working communication level

Nice to Have

  • Acting or performance background
  • Experience in broadcast, podcasting, or prior studio recording work
  • Comfort with both solo and conversational dialogue formats
