The Role

You will be primarily responsible for Command & Control Support Engineer: Supporting products for the Emergency Services nationwide. An Engineer who can technically contribute to the full range of skills involved in second line support to critical Police systems.

Based Hybrid/Chippenham You Will Be Tasked With The Following

The importance of the command and control systems means any planned activities and upgrades are normally implemented outside of normal hours as the systems are operational 24 hours a day. Also, a required out-of-hour support on a rota-based system using a shared on-call phone.

The individual will be responsible for developing and managing documentation and procedures to ensure records are maintained and demonstrate their added value to incident resolution.

Travelling will be part of the role as there is a need to occasionally visit Customer sites for problem resolutions, system upgrades or meetings, with Customers spread around the country.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate for this IT application support engineer will have relevant experience in Windows and preferably work in communications.

You’ll also need a background in IT support

Plus, it’s vital that you have experience with communications

In addition, you’ll need (a driver’s license/SC clearance etc.)

The Package

Basic salary: £35,000 per annum
