Manpower is partnering with a leading international investment fund to expand its Barcelona office with the hire of a Senior M&A Associate. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic, fast‑paced environment and play a key role across the full investment lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage due diligence processes for potential transactions.
- Support the end‑to‑end acquisition process, including execution and negotiations alongside senior stakeholders.
- Conduct in-depth market research and industry analysis to identify investment opportunities.
- Prepare high-quality presentations and materials for boards, investors, banks, and other stakeholders.
- Analyse and assess business models and strategic positioning of target companies.
- Build and review financial models, including company valuations, LBO models, budgets, and forecasts.
- Support the preparation of investment memorandums and transaction documentation.
- Coordinate with auditors and external advisors during financial and operational reviews.
- Develop and maintain financial models for portfolio monitoring and performance tracking.
- Produce financial reports and consolidation packages for internal and client use.
- Implement and oversee financial best practices across the company and its portfolio.
- Identify new investment opportunities through data analysis, research, and market intelligence.
- Contribute to marketing and business development initiatives linked to investment activities.
- Provide additional support on strategic or ad hoc projects as required by senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in M&A, investment banking, corporate finance, or transaction services.
- Previous experience in audit or accounting is a plus.
- International experience or exposure is highly valued.
- Full professional proficiency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and eager to learn and grow professionally.
