General Manager

This is a senior leadership role with real influence. As General Manager of our Brisbane office, you’ll lead a well‑established, multidisciplinary team delivering urban development and civil infrastructure projects across Southeast Queensland. If you enjoy shaping strategy, growing people and taking ownership of a business unit, this role offers both autonomy and scale.

About the Role

You’ll have full responsibility for the performance of our Brisbane CBD office, balancing leadership, commercial oversight and client engagement. The role is hands‑on at a senior level. You’ll guide project delivery, oversee financial performance, support business development and ensure the office continues to operate with strong technical standards and a healthy culture.

You’ll work closely with other General Managers and the executive team, contributing to broader operational and strategic decisions while representing Brisbane’s interests nationally. The role reports to the Senior General Manager, Central.

What we’re looking for

Your background could be in civil engineering, town planning or surveying. What matters most is that you’re a capable, credible leader who knows how to run a consulting business. This role will suit someone who brings sound judgement and calm leadership.

You’ll need:

• A senior background in civil engineering, town planning or surveying
• Proven experience leading a professional services team or office
• Strong commercial awareness, including project financials and forecasting
• Confidence building and maintaining senior client relationships
• The ability to lead, mentor and hold people to clear expectations

Desirable:

• Experience across urban development and civil infrastructure markets
• Existing networks in Southeast Queensland
• Exposure to multi‑disciplinary consulting environments
