Full- Time Benefits Counselor

• Assists consumers in obtaining and maintaining all benefit entitlements, including Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, and others.
• Works collaboratively with Finance department in regards to consumer financial matters, including payment of room and board and management of personal needs allowances.
• Transports and assists consumers with relevant appointments, applications, and banking.
• Acts as a resource for program staff in regards to consumers’ insurance benefits and income.
• Participates in the admission and discharge planning process for all consumers.
• Maintains all paperwork in accordance with requirements for Social Security Representative Payee accounts.

• BSW in Social Work, Psychology or related field
• BA in unrelated field with two years of previous experience in mental health
• Valid Driver’s License
