Automation Tester

We're looking for an Automation Tester to join a delivery team in Halifax, working primarily with Python and Robot Framework across functional, regression, and integration testing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicates well across teams, and is comfortable working in a structured QA environment.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain automation test scripts using Python and Robot Framework
• Execute automated and manual test cases based on project requirements
• Identify, log, and track defects through to resolution
• Collaborate with developers, QA leads, and business teams to understand requirements and ensure adequate test coverage
• Contribute to functional, regression, and integration testing efforts

What You Bring

• Strong hands-on experience with Python
• Practical experience with Robot Framework
• Solid understanding of software testing concepts and QA processes
• Experience with test case design and defect management tools
• Eligibility for a mandatory background check
• Valid Canadian work authorization (Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, open or closed work permit)

Nice to have

• Experience with API testing
• Familiarity with Selenium or similar automation tools
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
• Background in banking or capital markets

Work setup

• Onsite in Halifax, 4 days per week (non-negotiable)
• Contract role with potential conversion after 3 months
• English proficiency required
