The position is based in Albuquerque, NM, supporting critical operations during standard business hours. The candidate will reside within a commutable distance to ensure rapid on-site response and will play a key role in maintaining system reliability by adhering to strict service level expectations.

Essential Job Functions
#1: System Administration (Global)
The technician will function as part of a global team of administrators with the following responsibilities:
- Genetec: Lead the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Genetec (Omnicast & Synergis) and Genetec Cloudlinks.
- Global Support: Act as the primary technical resource for internal partners, providing advanced remote support and troubleshooting for enterprise and studio sites worldwide.
- Ticketing & Service Management: Manage and resolve support requests via Zendesk with high efficiency.
- System Monitoring: Proactively monitor global system health to identify and mitigate potential faults before they impact operations.
- Documentation: Maintain precise technical documentation, including system configurations, wiring diagrams, and change logs.
hardware on-site:
- Expert Diagnostics: Diagnose and resolve complex faults in door hardware, access control equipment, and security cameras.
- Physical Repair & MAC: Execute all hardware repairs, replacements, and small Moves, Adds, and Changes (MAC).
- Physical Hardware Expertise: Direct experience with Axis cameras, 2N intercoms, HID readers, Mercury boards, Altronix power supplies, and Envoy systems, parking gates.
- Locksmithing: Physically repair and service electric strikes, maglocks, and associated mechanical door hardware.
- Project Oversight: Plan and oversee system upgrade schedules to ensure minimal site disruption.
- Familiarity with IT and electronics diagnostic tools, including digital multimeters and network testing equipment (e.g., Fluke testers)
- Experience using low-voltage installation tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, and punch-down tools
- Proficiency with professional-grade hand and power tools (e.g., drills, impact drivers) used for installation, repair, and troubleshooting of physical security systems
- Required Certification: Current Genetec Certified Professional (GCP) or higher.
- 2+ years of direct experience in an enterprise-level physical security role.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in explaining complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Genetec Synergis SC-STC-001 and/or SC-ETC-001 certification is preferred.
- Technical degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, and/or relevant industry certifications is preferred.
- Experience with Genetec Synergis in a cloud based environment is preferred.
- Studio production industry experience is a plus.
