Role Overview
The Director of Nursing is the heart of the Clinical Department, responsible for:
- Instilling a positive, inclusive facility culture.
- Setting and achieving Nursing Department goals.
- Inspiring and leading the clinical team.
- Overseeing all aspects of the Clinical Department.
- Ensuring residents receive the high standard of care they expect, through creative problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Manage nursing operations and staff performance.
- Develop and implement care plans aligned with regulatory standards.
- Lead staff training, performance evaluations, and professional development.
- Monitor and improve care processes and quality metrics.
- Serve as a liaison between clinical staff, administration, and regulatory bodies.
- Associate’s degree in Science, Nursing, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Unencumbered Iowa Registered Nurse (R.N.) license.
- Previous department management experience.
- Prior Director of Nursing or skilled nursing facility experience is highly desirable.
