Research Account Executive – East Coast US

Spatial Biology | Digital Pathology | AI Image Analysis


New England / New York / New Jersey (Remote Field-Based Role)


We are currently partnering with an innovative and rapidly growing life sciences technology company at the forefront of AI-driven image analysis, digital pathology, and spatial biology to appoint a Research Account Executive supporting strategic growth across the US East Coast.

This role is focused heavily within the research and translational science space, supporting customers across biopharma, biotech, CROs, academic medical centers, and leading research institutions.


The organization is recognized for its advanced image analysis and tissue pathology solutions used within biomarker discovery, translational oncology, multiplex imaging, and spatial biology workflows.


This is an excellent opportunity for a scientifically credible commercial professional looking to work with cutting-edge technologies in one of the fastest-growing sectors of life sciences.


The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and managing complex consultative sales processes across the Northeast corridor, with a strong focus on research-driven customer environments.


Key customer groups include:

  • Biopharma and biotech research teams
  • Translational oncology groups
  • Academic research institutions
  • Core imaging and pathology facilities
  • CROs and discovery research organizations


Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with scientists, PI’s, translational researchers, lab managers, and research directors
  • Drive new business activity and manage the full sales process from prospecting through close
  • Deliver scientific and commercial presentations, workflow discussions, and solution demonstrations
  • Support customers working within digital pathology, tissue imaging, multiplex imaging, and spatial biology applications
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and opportunity management through CRM tools
  • Collaborate closely with applications, scientific support, and leadership teams
  • Stay informed on developments within spatial biology, image analysis, translational research, and AI-driven pathology technologies


Ideal Background

We are particularly interested in candidates who combine scientific understanding with strong consultative commercial skills.

  • Tissue imaging
  • Microscopy
  • Translational oncology research
  • Image analysis software
  • Multiplex imaging
  • Life science research tools


Preferred Experience

  • Experience selling into research or translational science environments
  • Ability to engage credibly with scientific stakeholders
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • Exposure to AI/image analysis technologies or research imaging workflows
  • Strong prospecting and business development capability
  • Experience working within biopharma, academic, or CRO customer environments


Education

MSc or PhD preferred in: Life Science disciplines
