- An interest in the challenges facing students and institutions in the current higher education environment.
- Commitment to supporting and mentoring students and colleagues in diversity and inclusion efforts.
- An ability to apply theories of student development and leadership to decision-making.
- Commitment to remain current in emerging issues in higher education.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with students, faculty, staff and external agencies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to relate to people from all backgrounds and at varying levels of leadership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to operate effectively both independently and as a team member.
- Ability to show a high level of sensitivity and collegiality in working with the CIA community to build collaborative relationships characterized by mutual respect, trust, and commitment to shared goals.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Personnel, or Counseling preferred
- Evening and weekend work availability is required
- Prior Residence Life experience is required
