Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following (other duties may be assigned)
- Collaborate with the OpEx Team on creating and achieving KPI's, needed SOPs, and best practices; later audits to monitor progress.
- 'Trusts but verifies' - Identifies, evaluates, and documents gaps, provides continuous improvement recommendations, and develops better/missing processes
- Builds cooperative and constructive working relationships with plant personnel and effectively communicates best practices for company-wide standardization.
- Trains personnel on how to better use OpEx processes and methods, tools, and resources.
- Works closely with other Regional OpEx Directors to help train and guide plants' new and existing personnel continuously, acting as a subject matter expert, and performing audits and documenting results.
- Works closely with Value Engineering to help perform Product Value Analysis as needed.
- Works closely with plant personnel, including (but not limited to): Plant OpEx-Cis, Production Managers, Operations Managers, Safety, Quality, HR, Eng./Drafting, etc., as needed.
- Communicates and escalates any raised risks or issues to the VP of OpEx and RVPs.
- Candidate has a strong leadership experience, a track record for successfully executing strategic company initiatives, and an ability to influence those without a direct reporting relationship.
- A minimum of 10 years of related manufacturing, building industry, and production experience is required.
- A minimum of 2 years as a supervisor, assistant production manager or production manager.
- Ability to effectively resolve conflicts, solve problems, and work efficiently under multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
- Ability to communicate collaboratively with others, provide constructive feedback, and maintain a high level of confidentiality, and has a strong work ethic.
- Ability to travel regionally to plants within and outside of dedicated regions to support them.
- 50% minimum travel expected.
- Ability to work well remotely and adapt to changing technology.
- Obtain a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher (preferred).
