This position is for DISA White House Communications Agency at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, District of Columbia. This is an Excepted Service position and does not confer eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. If you are a current Federal Career/Career-Conditional employee, you will be placed on an Excepted appointment under 10 U.S.C. 1599f.
Duties
Help
- Serves as a critical point person for incoming correspondence to WHCA HQ's. Reviews documents, memoranda, and other information requiring the Commander’s review and concurrence.
- Provides daily supervision and oversight of WHCA’s Special Staff comprised of Joint Service military and civilian personnel.
- Orchestrates activities necessary for meeting preparation, taskings, scheduling, travel planning, and logistics support.
- Provides advice and counsel relating to work and/or administrative matters to subordinate employees.
- Bridges information and insight gaps across and between WHCA directorates and Units of Action, including advising senior directorate leaders, and commanders to assist and improve engagement with the front office.

- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- Drug Testing Position.
- Incumbent may be required to perform duties after hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
- This is a Top Secret/SCI position with Yankee White
- Access to classified information is a condition of employment, which is determined by DISA Security, and that employees need eligibility to have a security clearance, which is determined by central adjudication facilities.
Qualifying Experience
To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience in administrative operations OR managing strategic human resource functions.
Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement.
Additionally, prior to reporting for duty the selectee must be found eligible for a DoD Top Secret security clearance with access to Special Compartmented Information (SCI) based upon an Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI), AND be approved for Presidential Support Duty in accordance with Department of Defense Directive 5210.55 (Yankee White - Category II, minimum).

Education
There is no substitution of education for the Qualifying Experience at the GG-14 grade level.

- A three year trial period may be required.
- Telework availability will be based upon the mission requirements and supervisory determination.
- This position is subject to completion of 1 year probationary period for assignment to a supervisory position.
- Individuals tentatively selected for drug testing designated positions at the Defense Information Systems Agency will be required to submit to urinalysis for illegal drugs prior to appointment or placement.
