Role Overview
Reporting to the Chief Corporate Officer (CCO), the SVP of Product is the primary driver of Cubic’s product portfolio strategy and market-led innovation. This role is responsible for transforming the company’s technology capabilities into commercially successful, customer-centric products that position Cubic as a leader in global connectivity solutions.
The SVP of Product will define the "what" and the "why" of our roadmap, ensuring our platforms scale from 25M to 100M+ assets by delivering autonomous, intelligent, and secure services that meet the specific needs of automotive, agricultural, and transportation customers worldwide.
Strategic Mandate
- Market Vision: Define a bold product vision that anticipates industry shifts in IoT, autonomous driving, and AI-driven services.
- Commercial Alignment: Partner with the CCO to ensure the product roadmap aligns with corporate growth objectives, revenue targets, and market expansion.
- Portfolio Strategy: Translate complex industry shifts (autonomous, V2X, embedded AI) into a coherent, prioritized strategic roadmap.
- Customer Value: Embed AI/ML and advanced analytics into products to unlock new revenue streams and deliver superior customer experiences.
- Product Evangelism: Represent Cubic as a product thought leader in industry forums, shaping how OEMs perceive the future of connected mobility.
- Roadmap Ownership: Own the end-to-end product roadmap for connectivity platforms and software-defined vehicle services.
- Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full product lifecycle from initial concept and proof-of-concept in innovation labs to global commercialization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the CTO and technical teams to ensure architectural innovations in cloud and edge computing meet market requirements.
- Reporting & Governance: Provide regular strategic updates to the CCO and executive team regarding investment priorities and product performance.
- M&A Support: Conduct product due diligence for potential partnerships and M&A activities to ensure alignment with the existing ecosystem.
- Financial Stewardship: Manage product-related budgets and optimize pricing and cost structures for global scale.
- Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing product management organization characterized by curiosity and strategic clarity.
- Strategic Intuition: Ability to anticipate future market trends and translate them into actionable product strategies.
- Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of IoT ecosystems, SaaS platforms, and how AI/ML can be productized for the automotive sector.
- Commercial Acumen: Exceptional ability to link product decisions to business outcomes, ROI, and customer value.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional ability to inspire internal teams and engage global OEM stakeholders.
- Senior Leadership: 15+ years in product or technology leadership, with 5+ years at the SVP or C-suite level.
- Scale: Proven success in managing products that have scaled from tens of millions to hundreds of millions of users or assets.
- Industry Background: Deep experience in connected services, automotive ecosystems, and IoT.
- Product-Tech Integration: Demonstrated ability to lead integrated product functions in high-growth, global environments, working in tandem with engineering and corporate strategy.
