Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer
Near Beaumont, TX
A global chemical company needs a Reliability Engineer to lead reliability efforts, concentration on rotating equipment, for their Beaumont, TX, area operation. The position is over all areas of reliability from establishing PMs to full asset/lifecycle management at the site. Heavy focus on rotating equipment, including the vibration analysis program, other NDT including IR, as well as some fixed equipment reliability such as heat exchange sysetms, hydraulics, etc.
May support other gulf coast area plants, though very minimal travel.
KEY:
- A lot of rotating equipment experience in reliability/PdM, etc, including vibration
- At least 5 years in-plant experience
- Engineering degree
Position:
- Provide engineering support for multiple chemical facilities in systems including:
- Pumps
- Compressor systems (small to large; “regular” to high-pressure, etc)
- Motors
- Gearing systems
- Fans/cooling systems
- Lubrication and other systems
- Owner of the site rotating equipment predictive maintenance program (within the site maintenance/reliability program)
- Own, manages, update the vibration monitoring program
- Ensure internal company standards are appropriate as well as train personnel
- Extensive work with Process Safety Management (PSM) and PSI systems
- Fully manages some projects
- Support capital projects and turnarounds
- Extensively involved with formal RCA and MOC
Required
- BS in engineering
- Significant experience in vibration analysis programs; formal certification good.
- At least 5 years in rotating equipment and vibration within a plant setting
- Work in-plants; chemicals, petrochem, refining, perhaps integrated paper mills, similar, etc
- Must be legal to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
Salary: $135k - $160k, plus bonus and more.
