What you’ll be doing
• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees across 26 annual payroll cycles
• Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, tax reporting, and timely payments
• Review payroll registers, reconciliations, deductions, and audit controls
• Administer merit increases, bonuses, incentives, and special pay programs
• Prepare payroll accruals, vacation accruals, bonus accruals, and financial reporting schedules
• Support hiring, onboarding, promotions, transfers, and terminations
• Advise managers and employees on HR policies, employee relations, and workplace matters
• Manage FMLA, STD, LTD, accommodations, and return-to-work processes
• Serve as key contact for employee questions related to pay, benefits, and timekeeping
• Maintain accurate HR and payroll data through audits and reconciliations
• Develop HR/payroll training materials and manager guides
• Serve as site SME for Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence modules
• Build and deliver reports for headcount, overtime, absences, EEO, SHE manhours, and leadership needs
What we’re looking for
• 7–10+ years of combined HR and payroll experience
• Manufacturing, chemical, or industrial environment experience preferred
• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in HR, Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Payroll certification (CPP or FPC) preferred
• Strong Workday Payroll experience strongly preferred
• Advanced Excel and reporting skills
• Strong understanding of payroll compliance, wage/hour laws, and HR practices
• High attention to detail and confidentiality
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
