IT Programme Manager | POS Deployment | 12-Month FTC | Dublin | Hybrid

Barden is delighted to be partnering with a leading Irish Organisation to identify an experienced Programme Manager to take ownership of a significant, multi-site Point of Sale deployment programme. This is a hands-on leadership role with real executive visibility, reporting directly to the Managing Director.

The POS programme is live and in motion, already deployed across a number of sites, and now entering a new phase with renewed business sponsorship and a clear mandate to deliver. It is a complex programme with multiple third-party partners, a broad stakeholder landscape, and 120+ locations in scope.

This is not a consultancy engagement. It is an active, end-to-end programme delivery, and the right person will hit the ground running.

"We need someone who can operate across all levels, from the day-to-day detail to the boardroom. The person who succeeds here will be commercially minded, operationally sharp, and confident in their ability to manage complexity without drama." - Head of IT Projects and Innovation

About the Role:

Someone who is equally comfortable presenting to the MD and SLT as they are rolling up their sleeves to resolve a delivery issue on a site. You will own the programme plan, the governance, the partner relationships, and the stakeholder communication. You will tell the story clearly, keep momentum, and bring calm, credible leadership to a programme that now carries genuine executive attention.

Retail POS programme experience is strongly preferred. The credibility this brings in context matters.

About the Person:

At least seven years of IT programme management experience, with a proven track record delivering complex, multi-site retail or hospitality POS programmes. Strong vendor management, governance, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple moving parts in a fast-paced environment. A full driver's licence and access to your own car is required, given the site-based nature of the role.

If this sounds like a programme you could own, get in touch with Jane Olden at [email protected], and she will look after you from there. Simple.
