Financial Controller

The group Asseco SEE is the largest operator in South-Eastern Europe in terms of revenue derived from sales of its software and services. About your Role

As a Financial Controller, you will act as a finance business partner and subject-matter expert for a dedicated business area within the Group structure (e.g. Payments, Banking, Sales). In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders, providing financial insight and analytical support that drives strategic and operational decision-making.

This is a highly independent role suited for someone who is curious, data-driven, and motivated to truly understand the business they support, while actively contributing as a trusted finance partner.

Key Accountabilities and activities

• Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes by providing analytical support and business insight
• Prepare financial analyses and ad-hoc reports to support strategic and operational decision-making
• Conduct variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast) and identify key business drivers
• Monitor financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and proactively recommend actions
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and Group Finance structures
• Analyze profitability across different business dimensions
• Ensure financial processes comply with internal policies and standards
• Contribute to improving the accuracy, quality, and efficiency of financial analysis and reporting
• Translate complex financial data into clear and meaningful business recommendations

About you

• You have at least 3 years of experience in Finance, Controlling, or a similar finance business partnering role, ideally within a multinational or group-structured organization
• You hold a Master’s degree in Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• You are comfortable working in complex matrix and cross-functional environments
• You have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• You have a knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, reporting structures
• You possess strong analytical skills and enjoy understanding the “why” behind the numbers
• You are proactive, self-reliant, and able to independently manage priorities and deliverables
• You have a problem-solving mindset and a strong sense of ownership
• You can confidently communicate with senior stakeholders and present financial insights in a clear and business-oriented way
• You have advanced English skills, both written and spoken, including the ability to prepare presentations and complex documentation

Nice to have

• Experience in the Payments, Banking, or Financial Services industry
• Knowledge of IFRS standards
• Experience working within multinational Group Finance structures
• Familiarity with CCH Tagetik
