Role Description

The Senior Accountant will oversee financial reporting, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and manage general ledger activities. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day activities, preparing and/or reviewing journal entries, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, assisting with audits, monitoring budgets and supporting regulatory reporting. The role also involves analyzing financial data, supporting month-end and year-end closing processes, and collaborating with teams to enhance financial processes. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Alpharetta, GA.

Qualifications

• Strong grasp of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management
• Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting software including Excel pivot tables, lookups and financial analytics
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy in financial documentation
• Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance standards (or the ability to learn quickly and take ownership of regulatory reporting)
• A collaborative team member with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus
• Prior professional experience in banking, financial services, or a similar industry is preferred
• Jack Henry Silverlake experience is a plus
