Position SummaryThe Accounting Associate is responsible for supporting the accuracy and integrity of the credit union’s financial records. This role prepares and posts journal entries, reconciles and analyzes general ledger accounts, and researches discrepancies to ensure timely resolution. This position also assists with preparing financial statements, schedules, and other financial reports within established deadlines. Additionally, the Accounting Associate supports the development and maintenance of departmental procedures to promote consistency, efficiency, and compliance.
Position Details
- Part-time, 20+ hours per week
- Temporary, 1-year term assignment
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 0-2 years of related experience in Finance or the equivalent.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Intermediate skill level with Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Familiar with Microsoft Outlook.
- Analytical abilities; interpersonal skills; and clear and concise oral and written communications.
- Able to comprehend and apply GAAP, policies, procedures and regulations.
- Able to analyze information, make decisions and develop solutions based on sound judgement.
- Minimum - $36,096
- Maximum - $50,535
